Discover a new voice in Reggae. The voice of King-i aka King i Music. King-i wears multiple hats. He is one of today’s most promising emerging artists and an upcoming producer, not to mention myriad artistic talents. King-i’s dynamic and versatile style as a current reggae and dancehall artist and producer reflects his early roots in Trinidad and Tobago as well as the influences of popular music that he listened to while growing up in an urban US neighborhood. King i Music appears on numerous riddim releases as well as on his own single releases included in his Discography. His latest self-produced projects continue to demonstrate his versatility as both producer and artist. In 2019 he released his debut riddim EP, “Bricks Riddim,” followed by his self-produced singles “Impostors” and “Love Contagious” in 2021, and "Happier Now" in 2022. King-i is a powerful and soulful performer. His “powers” are seen in his engaging and highly energetic stage performance. In 2009, King-I was selected to appear on The Ken Williams WVIP Reggae Rising Stars competition in NYC. He proceeded to win round two of the event before appearing on Rock w/Squeeze at SOBs in Manhattan for the Grand Final Competition. King-I has shared the stage with a variety of well known reggae artists including Yellowman, Lee Scratch Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Capleton, Pato Banton, Everton Blender, Chrisinti, Pressure, and more. He has played to packed audiences at notable clubs such as the Middle East, House of Blues Cambridge, Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, numerous colleges in the Northeast, as well as several large music festivals including: Providence Sound Session, Exodus to Escoheag RI Reggae Festival, S.O.S. Harvest Celebration, Positively Charged Music Festival, OneHeart Festival in Boston, Salem Culture Festival, Roxbury Rocks Music Fest and the My Caribbean One Expo Boston. |
