Through his positive music he wisely and spiritually spreads his love for the people. Described as a powerful and soulful performer, King-I’s “powers” are seen in his engaging and highly energetic stage performance.
In 2009, King-I was selected to appear on The Ken Williams WVIP Reggae Rising Stars competition in NY and proceeded to win round two of the event before appearing on Rock w/Squeeze at SOBs in Manhattan for the Grand Finals. King-I has shared the stage with a variety of well known reggae artists including Yellowman, Lee Scratch Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Capleton, Pato Banton, Everton Blender, Chrisinti, Pressure, and more and has played to packed audiences at clubs such as the Middle East, House of Blues Cambridge, Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, numerous colleges in the Northeast, as well as several festivals in 2010 including Providence Sound Session Genre Defying Music Festival, Exodus to Escoheag RI Reggae Festival and the S.O.S. Harvest Celebration, the Positively Charged Music Festival in 2011, OneHeart Festival in Boston 2010 - 2012, Salem Culture Festival 2013, and Roxbury Rocks Music Fest in 2014 & 2015
